I did another experiment using similar base and stampings colours. I was worried that the stamping wouldn't show up very much over the base colours, but it turned out better than I imagined it.
I did a base coat of Opi Thanks A Windmillion, once that had dried I stamped using Cheely jumbo plate 3 and A England Dragon. I topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I'm so glad I used these colours together, in fact I can't believe I haven't used the together before. Overall it was quite a subtle mani for me, but the sparkle of Dragon really made me love it.

Some Opi lemmings have been killed!!

I killed two lemmings lately, as I bought Opi Russian Navy and Midnight in Moscow from Nail Polish Direct. Ahh I love them, although I did find polishes that are almost dupes in my stash once they arrived... Oops. I love them anyway, and they are slight different shades that the ones I already owned.
I used Russian Navy and Midnight in Moscow as my base colours as I didn't know which one I wanted to use first. I stamped over them using an image from Cheeky jumbo plate 3 and Accessorize Aquamarine and NYC Enchanting Fire. I topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I've played around with my watermark in these pictures, as I've been thinking that the plain white one its kinda boring so I did a gradient to try to match the colours in the mani. Although I only did blue here, as I need to get used to using the gradient text.
Also I couldn't resist showing you the base colours in all their glory before I stamped over them. There's no top coat in these pictures.

Purple and Swirls

I bought China Glaze Rendezvous With You the other week, and it's a glorious one coater! I haven't tried this for stamping yet, but I think it should work quite well. As I really don't have anything else to say about these nails, onto the pictures!
I did a base coat of Rendezvous With You, and Moyou White on the nail I was doing a gradient on. I used Barry M Bright Purple, and Plum for the gradient. The stamping was done with Bundle Monster BM-314 and Moyou White. I topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

The stamping on these isn't too great, but it wasn't as noticeable in real life. But yes how wonderful if Rendezvous With You? Look at that amazing purple shimmer, it'll be an amazing winter polish I think.

Matryoshka Dolls

I finally used the cute little doll images from the Nailz Craze plate I bought ages ago. I need a bit more practise stamping with them as some came out better than others, but I still think these nails are so cute. It was also a first time stamping where I need two different colours to be in a certain place, and again I need more practise in that, but I'm so pleased with how the two colours look.
I did base colours of China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, and Fifth Avenue. I stamped the matryoshka's with NYC Enchanting Fire, and Moyou Black . The swirls were stamping is Moyou White, all images are from the NC 03 plate. I topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I wish the pinky colour I used for the stamping showed up a bit better against the base, as I'm sure if someone else were to look at my nails, they would mostly only see the black. I should really invest into proper stamping polishes for colours other than black and white I think.

Catching Fire

The odds were not in my favour with these nails. I took like five times of doing the mockingjay to get it too look the way it does here, and it's still not as I'd like it. These were doomed from the moment I picked up a bottle of polish, literally I dropped Smoke and Ashes, all over the carpet, then I spilt acetone while trying to clean the mess up... But I was determined to do them! Plus I kept to the challenge I set myself at the end of my last Hunger Games nails, to use only the Hunger Games collection from China Glaze.
I did base colours of Riveting , Harvest Moon and Smoke and Ashes. The "flames" were done with Electrify and Smoke and Ashes. I added some of the glitter at the top as well to looks like sparks. I used Stone Cold for the lettering on the middle finger. I did the mockingjay with Harvest Moon with a little Fast Track for highlights. I topped it all of with China Glaze Fast Forward.

Needless to say that these didn't come out the way I imagined them. I seriously need to practise my lettering though, maybe I shouldn't have left that nail last as by the time I got to it I just wanted it all to be over. The only nails I'd say I'm happy with are the flame nails, as they did come out as I thought they would.

Squirtle, I choose you!

Right, so after my last nail art, which I was so uninspired before, I found this tutorial of Squirtle! Yay, praise the Pokemon gods! I only had an hour to do these nails as I was going out, so everything was a little rushed, but I am so happy about the way Squirtle came out! I think you can tell it's supposed to be him.
I did base colours of A England Galahad, with China Glaze Kalahari Kiss on the ring finger. I used a cut down striping brush and China Glaze Electric Pineapple, Moyou White, Black, Essie We're All In This Together, Manhattan 2, and a baby blue Claire's polish that doesn't seem to even have a number on it. I stamped on the rest of the fingers with CH9 and Moyou White. I topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I need practise of teeny lines, but I don't really do anything this detailed that often. I seriously love these nails though, if only doing Bulbasaur didn't look so daunting I'd give him a go aswell.... Maybe in a few months, or a year or something.

I had to do something on my nails...

I was feeling like crap when I did these, which is why it's just a stamping and studs. I wanted to do something freehand, but I just didn't want to do anything, does anyone else ever get like that? You know where you just wanna curl up and do nothing because you just have no energy. Anyway, on to the mani!
I did a base colour of China Glaze Smoke and Ashes. I then stamping with 2True Agalia and NC 03. I added some green studs to the ring finger and topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

Considering that this mani only came about because I wanted to do something quick and easy, I really like it. I just love the way that Agalia stamps. Plus in the right light the glass flecks in the base polish look gorgeous.

Halloween in November?

This mani came out looking wayy more Halloween-y that I imagined it, maybe I should have added some brown or something. It was supposed to be something Autumnal, like the colours of the leaves changing. I don't think this mani scream Halloween though, more like whispers it to you while you're not looking.
I did a base colour of China Glaze Riveting with A England Saint George dabbed on using the cling film technique, I'm obviously getting good at it now.  I stamped with Moyou Black and NC 03. I added some studs to the ring finger and topped everything off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I do like the way these came out, even though it didn't happen as I imaging them. Maybe they are a bit too Halloween looking for November, but nevermind.

Cute Fox

A few days ago I did badger nail based on a jumper, well today I did the same sort of nail, but with a cute little fox instead. I also went for stripes instead of glitter as I don't own any glitter that would have worked well for this mani.
I did a base colours of A England Guinevere, and MUA Shade 5 (it's the mint green). I added Guinevere and A England Saint George over Shade 5 using the cling-film technique. I used the same colours and a cut down striping brush for the stripes on the thumb and index. I used the same brush with 2True Mila, and Moyou Black and White for the fox. I topped it all off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

As you can see I had some trouble doing the foxes face, but the more I tried to correct it the worse it seemed to get, so I left it like this. Does anyone have any ideas as to any other animals I could do in a mani like this?

A Good Fall Back

I bought one of the Barry M textured polishes, and obviously I had to do the same mani I did with my other textured ones. Plus I got a shiny new stamping plate, it's amazing! It's NC 03 from Nailz Craze, I love it so much, it got cute Russian doll images, plus this wonderful swirly flower image that I used in this mani.
I use Barry M Countess on the thumb, middle and ring fingers with Opi Dutch Ya Just Love Opi on the other two. I stamped using Barry M Gold Foil and NC 03. I topped the stamped nails off with China Glaze Fast Forward.

I love this image plate, I think I will definitely be buying more from Nailz Craze. Please ignore the really bad stamping, the images are a bit smudging because I was just so damn excited by these plates I had to use them as quickly as possible. In fact I was so excited by these I abandoned the nails I was going to do even though the base for them was dry.

Here are the nails I took off to do the textured, stamping combo. These are Dutch Ya Just Love Opi with a coat of Sally Hansen DVD over it. It's gorgeous!
